Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Douglas County, Oregon. The job is at a rebar fabrication workshop. Requirements: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules On the job you will handle: • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer $31 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
