Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Etowah County, Alabama. The job is on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. The role involves: • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing 5+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $5,500 per month plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
