Now hiring: we are hiring a mosaic tiler in Kankakee County, Illinois. The job is on a new-build housing development. The role involves screed and prepare uneven floors before tiling; check the falls to floor wastes so the water drains away; lay floor and wall tiles to plumb and level using a spirit level; mix tile adhesive and cement mortar to the right consistency; set out the tile layout and snap reference lines with a chalk line. What we are looking for: • Own a basic set of tiling tools (trowels, spacers, levels) • Able to work to deadlines on busy sites • Work neatly with minimal tile wastage Six days a week, one day off.
