Vacancy available: we are hiring a fettler in Benzie County, Michigan. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. On the job you will handle: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. $5,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
