Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in Clay County, Kentucky. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. Day to day you will inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring). You should have: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. $4,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
