Food packing operative — City of Baltimore

Join our team: we are hiring a food packing operative in City of Baltimore, Maryland. You will be based in a cold-storage packing unit. Requirements: • Able to stand for long shifts and lift up to 25 kg • Comfortable working at speed to meet line targets • Understanding of basic food hygiene for food packing Your main tasks: • Count units and confirm the correct quantity per carton • Apply labels, barcodes and batch codes to each pack • Feed products onto the conveyor belt and clear jams • Seal cartons with a tape gun or hot-melt glue • Inspect packs for leaks, dents or damaged seals • Wipe down and sanitise the line following hygiene rules Six days a week, one day off.
