Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Thayer County, Nebraska. The job is in a food and dairy equipment factory. On the job you will handle: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding Ideal candidate: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Meals and transport allowance provided.
