Now hiring: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Pike County, Mississippi. What we are looking for: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Day to day you will pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel. 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. Contact us to fix an interview.
