We are recruiting: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Carlisle County, Kentucky. Requirements: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) The role involves: • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses Performance bonus on top of base pay.
