Vacancy available: we are hiring a powder spray gun operator in Hidalgo County, New Mexico. The job is in a busy paint shop. Requirements: • Can read film thickness gauges and colour codes • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Comfortable working in a masked, ventilated booth Your main tasks: • Inspect the finish for runs, orange peel and bare patches • Set the electrostatic gun voltage (kV) and powder flow • Record batch numbers, oven temperatures and coating thickness • Apply an even powder coat with the electrostatic spray gun • Degrease and clean metal parts before coating • Top up and monitor pre-treatment chemical bath concentrations 3+ years on the tools preferred.
