Gardener — Somerset County

Now hiring: we are hiring a gardener in Somerset County, Maryland. You will work on the grounds of a hotel resort. Day to day you will maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades; weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds; dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds. You should have: • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance 4+ years on the tools preferred.
