Stainless steel welder • Ikono, Akwa Ibom State

We are recruiting: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Ikono, Akwa Ibom State. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings On the job you will handle: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions Pay around ₦115,000 per month, based on your experience.
