Quality assurance assistant • Borough of Wigan, England

Great opportunity: we are hiring a quality assurance assistant in Borough of Wigan, England. You will work in an automotive parts factory. Day to day you will measure finished parts with vernier callipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges; operate height gauges, profile projectors and coordinate measuring tools; verify dimensions against the tolerance limits on the technical drawing; carry out first-article and in-process checks on the production line; draw samples from batches according to AQL sampling plans; escalate recurring defects to the line supervisor or QA engineer. Requirements: • Prior experience as a QC inspector in manufacturing • Good eyesight and colour vision for visual inspection • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T symbols Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer £3,000 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
