Stainless steel welder — Watauga County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Watauga County, North Carolina. You will be based on an industrial construction site. On the job you will handle: • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job You should have: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
