Urgent requirement: we are hiring a commis chef in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana. You will work in a catering banquet kitchen. You should have: • Good teamwork and clear communication under pressure • Food hygiene / FoSTaC certificate • Strong knife skills and speed on the line On a typical shift you will plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service; marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases; follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes; keep the station clean and sanitised throughout the shift; monitor food temperatures and run regular HACCP checks.
