Finish carpenter • Washington County, Maine

Vacancy available: we are hiring a finish carpenter in Washington County, Maine. You will be based in a cabinet-making workshop. What we are looking for: • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent Your main tasks: • Hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles • Check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Pay around $5,200 per month, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
