Immediate opening: vertical milling machine operator (South Dakota)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Stanley County, South Dakota. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. The role involves: • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm You should have: • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience 4+ years on the tools preferred. $130 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
