Join our team: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Pike County, Missouri. You will work at a knitwear stitching unit. The role involves stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish. What we are looking for: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
