Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Barbour County, Alabama. On the job you will handle: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing What we are looking for: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Rotating shifts.
