Sand plant operator — Monterey County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Monterey County, California. Requirements: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Your main tasks: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity Rotating shifts.
