Great opportunity: we are hiring a shuttering fixer in Lagos Island Local Government Area, Lagos State. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. You should have: • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Able to read formwork and structural drawings • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork On a typical shift you will strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured; watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement; check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line; set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking; cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. ₦145,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
