Now hiring: we are hiring a concrete placer in Limestone County, Texas. The job is at a precast concrete yard. Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules Day to day you will erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour; strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength; fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule; patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days. $220 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
