We are recruiting: we are hiring a fettler in Washington County, Maine. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection On the job you will handle: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles Meals and transport allowance provided. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
