Powder coating technician — City of Hampton

Join our team: we are hiring a powder coating technician in City of Hampton, Virginia. On a typical shift you will sieve and load powder into the spray gun hopper; record batch numbers, oven temperatures and coating thickness; cure coated parts in the curing oven at set temperature and time; reclaim and sieve overspray powder for reuse; run colour changeovers and clean the booth between batches. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of pre-treatment and phosphating process • Keen eye for finish quality and surface defects • Can read film thickness gauges and colour codes Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
