Rigger — Appomattox County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a rigger in Appomattox County, Virginia. On a typical shift you will carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; read lift plans and method statements before starting; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; guide loads through tight openings into their final position. Requirements: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
