Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete pump mate in Southeastern Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. You will be based at an infrastructure site. Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods The role involves cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls; lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Pay around $24 per hour, based on your experience.
