Aluminium tig welder — Buchanan County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Buchanan County, Iowa. The job is at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Day-to-day duties: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run You should have: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Part-time with flexible hours.
