Now hiring: we are hiring a finishing presser in Botetourt County, Virginia. You will be based at a textile finishing unit. On the job you will handle: • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure Ideal candidate: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
