Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sausage maker in Orleans County, New York. You will be based at a halal meat counter. You should have: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required On the job you will handle: • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain Rotating shifts.
