Sheet metal welder • Highland County, Virginia

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Highland County, Virginia. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. You will back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush. Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
