Immediate opening: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Pipestone County, Minnesota. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Day to day you will tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
