Vacancy available: we are hiring a CNC mill setter-operator in Alexander County, North Carolina. The job is in a die and mould making unit. What we are looking for: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Able to grind and set HSS cutters On a typical shift you will load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe. $25 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
