Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Saunders County, Nebraska. Your main tasks: • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size Ideal candidate: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
