Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welder in Collingsworth County, Texas. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. The role involves tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer. Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts.
