Vacancy available: we are hiring a gas pipe fitter in Simpson County, Kentucky. The job is at a heating and plumbing contractor. Your main tasks: • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
