Immediate opening: we are hiring a general labourer in Pocahontas County, Iowa. On the job you will handle: • Stack and store materials safely to avoid wastage • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations • Load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate • Clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour What we are looking for: • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
