Restoration bricklayer • Saint Landry Parish, Louisiana

Vacancy available: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Saint Landry Parish, Louisiana. You will be based on a scaffolded high-rise site. The role involves mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge. Requirements: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks 3+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $4,000 per month plus benefits.
