Metal caster • Jefferson County, Arkansas

We are recruiting: we are hiring a metal caster in Jefferson County, Arkansas. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. You will assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
