Your main tasks: • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs You should have: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
