Join our team: we are hiring a TIG welder in Lapeer County, Michigan. You will work in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Requirements: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Able to pass a weld test on the spot The role involves: • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent We offer $4,100 per month plus benefits.
