Formwork carpenter • Itas/Gadau, Bauchi State

Great opportunity: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Itas/Gadau, Bauchi State. You will be based on a busy high-rise construction site. On a typical shift you will watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement; apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting; fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure; cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs; set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking; box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations. Requirements: • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Confident working at height on scaffold and decking Rotating shifts.
