Now hiring: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Dundee City, Scotland. The job is at a busy gas installation company. On a typical shift you will locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections; carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply; install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves; purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate; braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints. You should have: • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. £2,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
