Tailor machinist — Borsari

Join our team: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Borsari, Yobe State. You will be based in a sampling and tailoring workshop. What we are looking for: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams On a typical shift you will operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension.
