Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Gwandu, Kebbi State. You will be based on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Day to day you will place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman. You should have: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
