Ideal candidate: • Good eye for detail and a clean finish • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings Day to day you will erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain; cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw; read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists; plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish.
