Ideal candidate: • Able to read isometric and site drawings • Driving licence for travel between sites Your main tasks: • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
