Now hiring: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. The role involves keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing. You should have: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols 4+ years on the tools preferred. $18 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
