Immediate opening: we are hiring a hand presser in Luce County, Michigan. The job is in a busy laundry. Day-to-day duties: • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Give each garment a final press before packing You should have: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Full-time with occasional weekends.
