Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry operative in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. Day-to-day duties: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. $140 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
