On a typical shift you will test batteries, alternators and starter motors with a multimeter; replace ABS, oxygen and crankshaft sensors; install alarms, immobilisers and central locking; read and clear ECU fault codes; read wiring diagrams and trace circuits; programme keys and reset immobilisers. You should have: • Steady hands for soldering fine connections • Knowledge of CAN-bus and modern ECU systems • Valid driving licence preferred Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
